Francis Marion Moore was the fifth child born to the union of James S. Moore and Marima Reno Moore, in Rushville, Illinois on October 22 1836. Children born before were:

Nancy Moore 1820-1880 (died in Schuyler County, Illinois)
Elizabeth Moore 1821-
John Moore 1823-
Milton Moore 1834-

Children born after Francis Marion Moore:

Joseph Moore 1838
William Moore 1840
George W. Moore 1843
Martha Ann Moore 1845
Cassandra Moore 1847 (died in Joplin Missouri)
Thomas Jefferson Moore 1849

Francis Marion Moore's paternal grandparents were Lewis Moore and Elizabeth Tannahill Moore. His maternal grandparents were Johnathon Reno and Sarah Rogers Reno.

On March 8 1858 in Schuyler County, Illinois, Francis Marion Moore married Pauline Gabbert (1835-1876/Kentucky-Illinois), daughter of John W. Gabbert and Mary "Polly" Perline Kirkland Gabbert.

Two children were born to the union of Francis M. Moore and Pauline Gabbert Moore:

Alfred Moore
Thomas Jefferson Moore (b.Oct 23, 1861)

Both children were born in Schuyler County, Illinois.

After the death of his wife Pauline in 1876, Francis C. Moore married for the second time in 1878 to Sarah J. Hackworth (other name she may be known as: Melinda Hackwith) (b 1835 Ohio). For the third and final time, Francis C. Moore married Malinda Gorsage on July 9 1907, she died in 1913. No children were born to the latter marriages.

Francis Marion Moore died in Newton County, Missouri on April 16, 1913.

From the line of his son, Alfred Moore, came about many decendents that are too numerous to mention.

In my family records, I have 7 children listed for Alfred Moore, Francis' son. Francis M. Moore had at least 27 grandchildren with such surnames as: Lyster, McKelvey, Ellis, and Capps. In studying my family records thus far, I do not have any further information about the other son, Thomas Jefferson Moore other than his birthdate and that he died in the state of Colorado. But as anyone who has ever traced a family tree knows, it is a never ending search.
