Mary Rhoades, age 80 of Gravelly died Thursday, December 11, 2008 at Chambers Memorial Hospital. She was born February 15, 1928 in Nola, Arkansas to the late Ben & Eloise Joslin Morehead.

She was a homemaker, poultry farmer and a member of Mulberry Free Will Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Willa Dean James, infant sister, Jewell Dean Morehead and a nephew, Roy Syler.

Survivors include husband of 63 years, Buel W. "Boots" Rhoades; son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Charlotte Rhoades of Nola; daughter and son-in-law Vickie & Jim Roberson of Bluffton; grandchildren, Shaun and Tonia Rhoades of Harvey, Brooke Strunk of Waldron; great grandchildren Makenzie and Kacey Strunk, Randa Rhoades and one more great-grandson to be here in March; nephew Roscoe Wagner of Mt. Pine, AR and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services were held December 15, at Mulberry Freewill Baptist Church in Gravelly with Rev. Dan Oslin officiating. Burial was held in Parks Cemetery in Gravelly.

Pallbearers were Tommy Vanover, Allen Austin, J. A. Hunnicutt, Shaun Rhoades, Jim Roberson, Roscoe Wagner, Bradley Pickens and J. B. Wagner. Honorary Pallbearers were Joe Pickens and Lacey Minnie Arrangements by Cornwell Funeral Home, Danville (Yell County Record, Danville, Arkansas; Obituary was published on Wednesday, December 17, 2008)
