Born Jan. 21, 1886 in Tishomingo, Co, to Elias and Bettie Clingan Cain. He was 78 years old. He was a lifelong resident of Tishomingo County, a deacon at Old Union Baptist church and a Mason. He served 14 years as Justice of Peace and 16 year as a trustee of the Belmont Consolidated School District.

Services were April 07, at the Old Union Baptist Church near Belmont with burial in church cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home of Belmont was in charge.

He leaves his wife Mrs. Leona Mann Cain; three daughters, Cleo Enlow of Belmont, Stella Bernal of Chicago, and Vaudie Mae Mitchell of Tuscumbia, Ala.; five sons,Orville and Hollis of Birmingham, Travis of Belmont, Kenneth of Belgreen and Lex Cain of Ecru; and a sister, Sally Shook of Savannah Tenn., 25 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
