Edmund T Bienkowski

Services for Edmund T. Bienkowski, 61, of Frankford Township, will be tomorrow at 8 p.m. at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, Newton. He died Sunday at Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Clare's Hospital, Dover.

Born in Jersey City, he was raised in Secaucus and lived there before moving to Frankford Township three years ago.

Bienkowski was business administrator and board secretary for the West New York Board of Education for more than 25 years. He retired in December 2006.

He was a Navy and Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War.

Bienkowski was a member of Newton Memorial Post 5360 of the VFW, Newton. He was a gold life member and past commander of American Legion Post 118, Secaucus.

Surviving are his wife, Barbara Weiser Bienkowski; three children, Robert D. Clark, Debra L. Danielson, and her husband Anthony, and Meredith Clark; three grandchildren, Anthony, Allexandra and Cole; and two brothers, Leo and Joe Bienkowski, both of Secaucus; a sister, Bernadette Russo, of West Paterson; and his mother-in-law, Wilma Weiser.
