Little is known about her or her heritage and I'm not sure that her maiden name was Goody, but she may have been referred to as "Goodie Gregory" in the records, which is a common name for married women in those days. She probably married HENRY GREGORY (GREGORIE) around 1603 in Nottingham, England. It is reported that they had ten known children. They came to New England with most of their living children in the early 1600's.

Regarding the picture to the left posted by "Paula": According to the Metropolitan Museum of Art this is a portrait of a Woman, Possibly Madame Claude Lambert de Thorigny (Marie Marguerite Bontemps, 1668–1701), and an Enslaved Servant by Nicolas de Largillierre in 1696 so it is definitely not this woman
