Aaron Garrison, enlisted at Ingham on November 6, 1862, into the 26th MI at the listed age of 18, though was actually 16, and became Corporal on March 1, 1865. He was discharged by Special Order No. 140, dated June 3, 1865 and died on March 31, 1894, age 48 years. He is buried in the Fairview Cemetery, Dansville, Ingham County, Michigan.
His brother,George F. Garrison of Ingham, having enlisted in Co. H. of the 26th Michigan on August 13, 1862, at the age of 18. He had been severely wounded in the left lung at Spotsylvania on May 12th and was even listed as a mortal wound. Garrison was discharged on a surgeon's certificate of disability after receiving extensive care on August 1, 1865, on account of wounds received before Petersburg on June 23, 1864.
