Mrs. James Hawley, 72, Route 2 Appleton, died at 8:00 Thursday evening after a short illness. She was born December 8th, 1882 in the town of Ellington. Funeral services will be at 9:00 Monday morning at St. Mary Catholic Church with burial in the parish cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 8:00 Saturday and Sunday evenings at the Ellenbecker funeral home where friends may call after 7 :00 Saturday evening. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. George Cooney, New London, Mrs. Walter Long, Mrs. Simon Freiburger and Mrs. Quinton Rathsack, all of Appleton; three sons, James, Antigo, David and Willard, both of Appleton; four brothers, Maurice Hardy, West Wrightstown, James Hardy, Beach, North Dakota, Edward and Thomas Hardy, both of Appleton; three sisters, Mrs. Matt Krause, Sentennial Butte, North Dakota, Mrs. George Kronschnabel, Menasha, and Mrs. Genevieve Kohl, Appleton and 25 grandchildren.
