James E. Maddox, 82, retired barber, died at 2:30 a.m. Saturday at his residence, 604 North Tenth Street, Paducah, KY.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Betty Burgess Maddox; a daughter, Mrs. C. H. Blackburn, Jeffersonville, Ind.; a son, Homer K. Maddox, Indianapolis, Ind.; a sister, Mrs. Alice Robinson, Grand Rivers; a brother, M.M. Maddox, Beaumont, Tex.; and three grandchildren, Lloyd Elaine Blackburn, Jimmie Kay Blackburn and Sara Ann Maddox.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. today at Margaret Hank Memorial Cumberland Presbyterian church with the Rev. L. P. Turnbow, the Rev. S.P. Tucker and the Rev. C. A. Baker officiating. Burial will be in Maplelawn cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Chester Ford, Byron Dunn, Woodford Flanary, Dick Holt, Louis Nance and Lloyd Houser.
The body will be at Kennedy's funeral home until the funeral hour.
