Born Dec. 29, 1913, in Waynesboro, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Harry S. and Ada R. Dubel Gaver. She was the wife of David Elmer Smith, who died in 1993.
She had been a homemaker for most of her life.
Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law Sylvia and Gordon Mullinix, of Prescott, Iowa, and Diane and Ralph Leatherwood, of Glen Burnie; a sister, Gladys Latimer, of Ellicott City; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was predeceased by siblings Austin, Carroll and Burhl Gaver; and by a granddaughter, Michelle Leatherwood.

Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville. Interment will be in Old
Oakland Cemetery in Sykesville.
