Jean Madelyn Tisor, 84, of Prairie Ridge Care Center formerly of Morning Sun, passed away Tuesday morning, January 17, 2006, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington, Iowa.
She was born August 30, 1921 near Letts, Iowa. She was the daughter of Frank and Hattie Westerman Briggs. On June 14, 1942, she married Floyd Laroy Tisor in Kahoka, Missouri. Floyd passed away February 12, 1991.
Mrs. Tisor and her husband owned and operated the Standard Station in Morning Sun, Iowa.
She was a graduate of Lets High School. She was a former Morning Sun Lioness member and a member of Morning Sun United Methodist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Ronald and Larry Tisor, both of Burlington, Steven Tisor of Mediapolis; one daughter, Linda Stott of Burlington; 11 Grandchildren and 8 Great- Grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one half sister.
Visitation was from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday at Hagele and Honts Funeral Home in Morning Sun, where family received friends from 6 to 7 p.m.
The funeral for Mrs. Tisor was at 1 p.m. Saturday January 21 at Morning Sun United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Scott Smith officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
