Funeral services for Wesley A. Hobbs of Springer were Friday, April 4, in the Springer Methodist church. Rev. Eugene Pelt officiated and burial was in Green Hill cemetery, Davis. Bahner-Fox Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.

Hobbs died April 2 in an Ardmore hospital. He was born July 22, 1915 in Foraker.

A ranch manager at the time of his death, he and his wife, the former Lois Hindman, were married Sept. 20, 1937, in Sedan, Kan. They had lived in Springer for 35 years.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons, Randy L., of the home, and Don R., Tulsa; three sisters, Mrs. Lily Rowe, Oklahoma City, Mrs. Ella Scullawl, Los Alamos, N.M., and Mrs. Wanda Morgan of Tulsa; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Active bearers were Jack Birch, Carrol Satterwhite, Lloyd Owens, Gerold Meeks, Trig Meeks and Curtis Pletcher. Honorary bearers were Jeff Ayers, John Hisson, A. C. Pletcher, Bill Sutherland, Lawrence Woodward and Dick Anderson.
