Jimmie was born to Harry Pugh and Bertha Mary Taylor in LeCompte, LA. He was a resident of Lecompte, LA, Los Angeles, CA, Detroit, MI for over forty years, and Jonesboro, GA until departing this life on Saturday, September 27, 1997.

After serving in the United States Army, Jimmie met and married Jeanette Lovett while living in Los Angeles, CA. They relocated to live in Detroit, MI and he was employed as a draftsman with the Chrysler Corporation for twenty-seven years before becoming ill. After a medical retirement, he returned to school and earned a certificate for residential electrical wiring fom Hazel Park Adult Education Center in Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his father Harry Pugh, Sr. of Pittsburg, PA; mother Mrs. Bertha Taylor Montague of Los Angeles, CA; and his only sister Rose Marie Brown Alexander of Richmond, CA.

Jimmie leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Jeanette Lovett Pugh, a devoted step-mother Odessa Pugh of Pittsburg, PA; a brother Harry Pugh, Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and great friends.

Jimmie's interment and burial were held in Axis, Alabama, the home town of his wife Jeanette.
