Born at Toledo, he was the son of George Bellamy and the former Lucy Knapp. He had farmed in this area for about 40 years. He had been active in both St. Francis Lodge No. 24, AF & AM, and St Francis Chapter No. 133, RAM, and was adherent of the United Church.
Surviving besides his wife, the former Laura Bellamy, are one son Benjamin, at home: one daughter, Miss Betty Bellamy of Ottawa, and two sisters, Mrs. William Henry of Brockville and Mrs. Jack Anderson of Cleveland, Ohio.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Marsh Funeral Home by Rev. C.E. Armstrong, Friday, May 28, at 2 p.m. A Masonic Service was held last night, May 26. Internment will be in Elbe Mills Cemetery, near Athens.
