PORTSMOUTH - Mrs. Fannie Langhorne Browne, 81, of 108 Pughville Road, Churchland, died at 6:05 a.m. Sunday in a local hospital after a long illness.

She was a daughter of the late James K. and Fannie Hill Langhorne and wife of Harry Bailey Browne. She was a lifelong resident of this area. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church.

Besides er husband, she s survived by four daughters, Mrs. Clayton Bloxsom of Thalia, Mrs. Bruce S. Ames of Germany, Mrs. C. Robert Davis of Churchland and Mrs. C. Emmette Adams II of Pinehurst; two sons, S. Langhorne Browne and Harry Bailey Browne Jr., both of Churchland; five Grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The family will be at 108 Pughsville Rd., Churchland.

The body was taken to the Brennan Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Trinity Episcopal Church. Burial ill be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
