FINAL RITES FOR FORMER RESIDENT

Funeral services for Wm Paul Heinse, Sr., 76, were held Saturday afternoon, March 22 at St. Paul Lutheran church at Midway with the Rev EE Griesse officiating.
Mr. Heinse passed away Wednesday, March 19, at his home in Anthon, following a long illness.
Mrs Curtis Iversen was organist and accompanied the congregational singing.
Mr and Mrs Peter Jansen and Mr and Mrs Bob Albers took care of the flowers.
Burial was in Mt Hope cemetery at Battle Creek, under direction of the Walter Funeral home.
Pallbearers were Archie Milligan, William Hamann, Elmer Peterson, Richard Hamann, Arthur Strackbein and Marvin Petersen.
William Paul Heinse, son of Wilhelm and Martha Heinse, was born March 31, 1892, in Grant Township, Ida County, Iowa. He lived in the Battle Creek and Midway vicinities until his marriage to Carrie Hansen December 11, 1918, at Battle Creek. They lived and farmed northwest of Battle Creek until 1951, when they retired and moved into the town of Anthon.
Mr. Henise was baptised into Christianity on April 14, 1892, buy Rev Schug. He was confirmed into the Lutheran faith March 27, 1904, by Rev Linse. He was a member of St Paul Lutheran church at Midway, a past school director of the Morgan township school district, a charter member of the local Farm Bureau chapter, a director of the Anthon and Correctionville Burial Associations, a prominent cattle feeder and operated a chicken hatchery for 20 years. He was also very interested in soil conservation.
He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers.
Survivors include the widow, Carrie of Anthon; two daughters, Mrs James (Bertha) King of Redondo Beach, Califl, and Mrs Gordon (Frieda) Mickelson of Anthon; three sons, William Jr., of Anthon, Fred of Danbury and Edward of Anthon; 16 grandchildren and one brother, Bert, of Kansas City, Mo.
