Emily Arlene McGehee Bannister, 65, died Monday at Hospice House. She was a native and lifelong resident of Savannah. Surviving are two sons, John Hansford and wife, Pam Hoffman, of Tybee Island; William Hansford and wife, Nell, of Pooler, and Tracy Hoffman and husband, Stephen, of Marietta; siblings, Thomas McGehee and wife, Susie, of Thomasville, NC, Barbara Kellam and Gladys Wise, both of Savannah and Mary O'Pry and husband, Larry, of Pt. Wentworth; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Danny Hansford. Visitation: 6-8 pm on Tuesday at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel. Graveside Service: 11:00 am on Wednesday in the Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
