William Drummond Voorhis, 78, Greentown, died the morning of May 10, 1999, at Howard Community Hospital. He was born April 19, 1921. He was the beloved husband of Ruth Parson. They were married Aug. 16, 1941. He was known for two great loves in his life. The first was his family of six children, 12 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. The other was an avid interest in sports of all kinds. He was generous with the advice, particularly for Eastern High School and Indiana University sports, earning him the nickname of "Coach." A retired farmer, Bill was very active in the Kokomo Senior Citizen's Center, serving on its Advisory Board. He was also a member of Antioch Christian Church, Swayzee. He was a league bowler, a gardener, and a teller of tall tales. He is survived by.........
