Mrs. Metz was born on July 14, 1916 in Sussex, DE to the late George H. and Maggie (Green) Cordrey. She was last employed at Flinchbaugh's. She was a life time member at Bethany United Methodist Church and a member with Red Lion Senior Center. She loved time spent with her family and grandchildren. She also enjoyed bus trips, socializing, flowers, and playing cards.
Mrs. Metz is survived by two daughters, Linda A. Henry and her husband Jerry S. of Red Lion and Patricia Runkle and her husband Vernon of Felton; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Charles V. Burns, Jr. and a grandson, Mark Burns.
Burial will be in Zion U.M. Cemetery.
