DIED. BURDETT. -- In this village, on Friday, March 15, 1878, at the residence of his father, of Paralysis, Ransom D. Burdett, in the 48th year of his age.
The Lodi (Wisconsin) Valley News, 20 March 1878, page 3, column 1.
Mr. Ransom Burdette, whose illness, with paralysis, we mentioned two weeks ago, died on Friday morning last, at 10 1/2 o'clock, after about three weeks illness, and was buried on Sunday, the funeral services being held at the Baptist church, and conducted by Rev. N. E. Chapin. A large concourse of sympathizing friends assembled to manifest their respect for the deceased, and their sympathy for the aged and bereaved father, who, by this death, is left entirely alone in this community so far as concerns his kith and kin, his only surviving child being a daughter resident at Ogdensburg, New York.
