Born Sept. 4, 1919 in Lewis County, Ky., he was the son of Jack W. and Mary Jane (Richmond) Riley, both deceased.
Mr. Riley was an Army veteran of World War II where he served as a medical technician. He attended Carthage Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Olive (Spence) Riley of Shelbyville; daughter, Janice Clark of Indianapolis; two grandsons, Rodney (Terri) Fannin of Colorado and Boyd (Jami) Fannin of Beech Grove; four great-grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers and five sisters.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Verlin Chip officiating. Military rites will be conducted. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Carthage. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
