Sumner Victim In Serious Accident - James M. Sumnner, well-known citizen of North Pend Oreille county, now living at Ione, was the victim of a distressing and serious accident Sunday, when he feel into a buzz saw while cutting stovewood. He was rushed to the Ione hospital, where Drs. Richards and Canning found, the saw had severed four ribs and the clavicle, besides cutting into his chin, and piercing close to the jugular vein. Exerting their surgical skill the doctors are doing everything possible to save his life and have given several blood transfusions. The patient has been standing up well, and unless there are other complications in teh next few days is given a possible chance for recovery.
Friends were shocked and regret to hear of the accident, but hope for his ultimate recovery.
