William A. Massey Dies At Age of 72

Rites for William Alfred Massey, former Lawrence Countian, were held Sunday at the home of his sister, Mrs. C. C. Glenn.

Mr. Massey, who was 72, died at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the home of a nephew, Paul Glenn, Decatur 1.

Born in Jefferson County, he spent most of his life in Lawrence and Morgan counties. For the last 20 years, he had made his home with his sister, Mrs. Glenn.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Glenn and Mrs. Rush Stockton, and a brother, John P. Massey.

Burial was made at Montgomery cemetery.

Pallbearers were Earl Glenn, Louie Glenn, Paul Glenn, Billie Glenn, Clifford Corum, and Charles McWhorter, nephews.
