Mrs. Hancock owned cattle and dairy ranches in Fresno County. She and her family also owned a 6,800 acre ranch in Kings County which was sold in 1958. Mrs. Hancock was born in Kingsburg and lived in this area [Laton] all her life. She is survived by two [three]daughters, Mrs. Ruth Marriott and Mrs. Ina Gonser of Fresno[Laton]; a brother, Jerome Harlan of Merced; a sister, Mrs. Aleda Sherrill of Los Angeles; eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Burial will be in the Fowler Cemetery."
