"Mrs. Lydia Hancock - Private services for Mrs. Lydia Irene Hancock, 87, of 212 Weldon Ave. will be held tomorrow in the Lisle Funeral Home. She died Monday in the local rest home. Mrs. Hancock owned cattle and dairy ranches in Fresno County. She and her family also owned a 6,800 acre ranch in Kings County which was sold in 1958. Mrs. Hancock was born in Kingsburg and lived in this area [Laton] all her life. She is survived by two [three]daughters, Mrs. Ruth Marriott and Mrs. Ina Gonser of Fresno[Laton]; a brother, Jerome Harlan of Merced; a sister, Mrs. Aleda Sherrill of Los Angeles; eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Burial will be in the Fowler Cemetery."

LATON. Mrs. Lydia Irene Hancock, formerly a long time resident of Laton, died in Fresno at the age of 87 years.

Funeral services were held January 6 in the Lisle Funeral Home, Fresno. Burial was in Fowler Cemetery.

Mrs. Hancock, a native of Kingsburg, is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Marriott and Mrs. Ina Gonser of Fresno; a brother, Jerome Harlan of Merced; a sister, Mrs. Aleda Sherrill of Los Angeles; eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren."
