BENJAMIN ACKERMAN --- Romulus --- Benjamin Ackerman, 62, of Romulus died last night (July 15, 1948) in the U.S. Veterans Hospital Hospital in New York City after a long illness. He had resided in Romulus for several years and was employed as a Janitor at the Seneca Ordnance Ordnance Depot here until he became ill a year ago. He was a veteran of World War 1. He was born in Lyons, Wayne County, and was a member of South Seneca American Legion Post of Ovid and of the Elks Lodge in Lyons. The body will arrive this morning at the Park Funeral Chapel in Romulus where a prayer service will be conducted tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. with the funeral at 11 a.m. in South Sodus Cemetery with South Seneca Post of Ovid and the Romulus VFW post in charge The Rev.
