CW4 (retired) Douglas Clyde Edgell, 45, died July 29, 2000. He was born in St. Augustine, and he graduated from John I. Leonard High School, Lake Worth, in 1973. He joined the U.S. Army in October 1975 and served for 22 years. He was a veteran of Desert Storm, and he retired in 1997. He was employed by Sytex, Inc., Vienna, Va., as a program manager, and he was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Craig Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be in Pellicer Creek Cemetery.
Friends may call at Craig chapel from 6-8 p.m. Friday.
Those wishing may make a contribution, in his memory, to Bishop Lamont John, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 10049 Beacon Pond Lane, Burke, Va. 22015.

Services were held Aug. 2 in Springfield, Va.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Cleere Edgell, Burke; daughters, Dana, Krista, Candela and Malia; sons, Ben, Aaron, Timothy and Andrew; his father, David E. Edgell, St. Augustine; his mother, Vivian B. Edgell, Lake Worth; brothers, Terry and David; a sister, Susan; and other relatives.
