VAN-Services for Emmie Lee Simmons, 85, Van, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hilliard Funeral Home chapel, Van, with Brother Louie Barron officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Springs Cemetery. Mrs. Simmons died Dec. 17 at her residence.
She was born Feb. 25, 1914, in Rowlett and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Simmons, Oct. 26, 1999.
Survivors include daughters, Opal Finch, Dallas, Peggy Bishop, Van, and Debbie Brothers, Garland; sister, Ferrel Mislivets, Wills Point; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Randy McCauley, Jackie Pennington, Billy Willis, Brandon Hass, Travis Dike and Jim Bordelon.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at funeral home.
