Ambrose Ambrose, Paul C., resident of Fort Lauderdale for 70 years, died peacefully at his Victoria Park home on Saturday, January 17. He was born in Tucker, GA in 1911. Paul Ambrose moved to Fort Lauderdale and married Effie Cheek in 1934. Mr. Ambrose was manager of Sealtest Dairies from 1937-1967. He was active in the Downtown Kiwanis Club for 45 years, a volunteer in Boy Scout leadership for 35 years, and an active member of the First United Methodist Church for 38 years. He was a devoted husband and father, and always reached out to assist a neighbor or friend with a need. Effie Ambrose preceded Paul Ambrose in death. He is survived by his loving wife Anne Sharp Ambrose; his son James Paul (Judy) Ambrose, Sr.; his daughter Paula (Donald R.) Hall; two grandchildren Sherry Ambrose (David) Beckey and James Paul (Holly) Ambrose, Jr.; and one great-grandchild, Robert David Beckey. A memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Fort Lauderdale, 101 Southeast 3rd Avenue, Wednesday afternoon, January 21st, at 2:00 P.M. The burial will be private. The family requests no flowers, "in lieu of" memorial gifts would be appreciated in Mr. Ambrose's memory to the First United Methodist Church of Fort Lauderdale, or a contribution to the charity of your choice.
