JACOB BOCKEE'S RITES
T0 BE HELD TOMORROW
Rites for Jacob Bockee, 75, farmer in the town of Stanford, will be held at St.
Peter's Episcopal church, Lithgo, at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. Burial will
be in the Bockee family cemetery under direction of F. P. Hamm.
Mr. Bockee died Monday afternoon after collapsing in an Academy street grocery
store. He had been a patient for two weeks in the Johnson Nursing home here,
but believed to be recuperating, he had gone to the store of James Doran, 81
Academy street, in the afternoon and was fatally stricken there.
Born in Dover Plains, son of Phoenix and Elizabeth Pugsley Bockee, he had
operated for a number of years a farm on Pugsley hill, town of Stanford. He had
been a member of the grange there for many years.
Surviving are four daughters, Ellzabeth Bockee, teacher in P. B. Morse school;
Mrs. Gilbert Flint, Smithfield, a cataloguer at Vassar college; Mrs. David Link
of Amenia and Mrs. Robert Winans of Chatham, N. J.; two nephews, Edward and
William Bockee, and a niece, Mrs. Edward Bahret. His wife, Mrs. Emily Catherine
Bockee, died in 1914.
