Pearl Blount, 73, a resident of Fort Myers for the past 43years, died at her home 420 Nuna Ave. last night. She was a member of the Tice Methodist Church. She taught in the Lee County schools for 10 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nathan S. Blount, on April 25, 1960. Surviving are three sons: William Hallie Jones, St. Augustine; Pierce Jones, Fernandina; Graydon Jones, Fort Myers; step-sons, Lynwood Blount, West Palm Beach; Lester Blount, Bay Pines; Earl Blount, Jacksonville; a step-daughter, Mrs. Emma P. Hill, Starke; brother, Arthur Pierce, Lawtey; and 9 grandchildren. Funeral arrangements will be announced later by Leo W. Engelhardt Funeral Home. (Fort Myers News-Press, Sat., Aug. 4, 1962)

Pallbearers will be W. Earl Blount, Dan English, Perry English, Fred Blount, John Fennell and Lynwood Blount. Honorary pallbearers will be Lester Blount, Carl Blount, Clifton Sapp, Dan Roberts, Fred Coombs, Dr. Frank Bryan, Dr. Baker Whisnant, Dr. Fred Bartleson, J.
