Emma G. Newton Of Milford-Harrington Hwy., Milford, age 78, died Saturday November 13, 1999 at Lutheran Care Center, Poughkeepsie, NY. Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 17 at ROGERS FUNERAL HOME, 301 Lakeview Ave., Milford, where friends may call Tuesday evening from 7-9 p.m. Burial in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Summit, DE.
Mrs. Newton worked the Milford School District in the cafeteria service in the senior high. She was a member of the Avenue United Methodist Church and the Senior Center, both in Milford.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Isaac B. and a daughter, Eileen. She is survived by her daughter Nancy and son-in-law, George Proto of LaGrangeville, NY; brother, Walter and sister-in-law, Millie Gares of Ocala, FL; and 3 grandchildren, Benjamin, William and Susan.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. DuPont Highway, Dover, DE 19901.
