ABERDEEN Mark "Sparky" Lee Epperson, 14, of Aberdeen, died Friday, Aug. 11, 2000, at Community General Hospital in Thomasville from injuries received in a vehicle accident.
The funeral will be held at 4 p.m. today at Beulah Hill Baptist Church in West End, where he was a member.
The youth attended Solid Rock Baptist School in Aberdeen.
Surviving are his mother, Miriam McDowell Epperson of Lexington; his father, Danny Ray Epperson of Thomasville; a brother, Mitchell Epperson of Lexington; his maternal grandparents, Lois Mae Pope of West End and Leon McDowell of Lexington; his paternal grandfather, Glenn Epperson of Thomasville; his maternal great-grandparents, Arnold and Grethel Allred of Aberdeen, with whom he made his home; his paternal great-grandmother, Louise Epperson, and his paternal great-grandfather, Roosevelt Epperson, both of High Point.
The family is being served by Boles Funeral Home and Crematory.
