George was married to Ann P Benjamin on May 13, 1844 in Hartford, Hartford, CT USA. Together they had five children: Albert L. (#91699983), Oliver Parish. (#91700313), George Whiting (Jr)(born about 1850, moved to Chicago IL), Joseph Chester (Oct 1 1853 to June 27 1885) , and Sarah Jane (Jennie) (#91701285). Ann died in 1863 and George married as second wife Jane E Tobey. They were married 39 years but had no children. She survived him by 1.5 years, dying in Dec 1905.
