Born on Aug. 13, 1926, in Carlisle, he was a son of the late Albert Sr. and Margaret M. McLaughlin Adams.
He was a retired employee of the former Mechanicsburg Ships Parts Control Center.
Mr. Adams was a member of the Mt. Holly Springs United Methodist Church and a member of Mechanicsburg VFW Post No. 6704. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and a loving husband, father, father-in-law, devoted grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Hartzell Adams; three sons, Paul A. and wife, Connie, of Carlisle, Albert E. III and wife, Dorothea, of Boiling Springs and Richard E. of Mt. Holly Springs; four daughters, Lois A. Barner and husband, Bruce, Robyn A. Porter and Margie A. Shenk and husband, Roy, all of Mt. Holly Springs, and Pamela C. Rutter and husband, Christopher, of Hellam; 15 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a sister, Pearl M. Brown of Carlisle. He was predeceased by a brother, John O. Adams Sr.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, in his church, 202 W. Butler St., Mt. Holly Springs, with the Rev. Ross Reider and the Rev. Lisa K. Klinger officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery with military services provided by the Cumberland County Honor Guard.
