Mrs. Addie J. Clarke, aged seventy-nine, widow of Thomas J. Clarke, of Fluvanna County, died last night at "Chestnut Grove," Fluvanna County, the home of Miss Donna Sclater, where she was a guest. The interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery. Mrs. Clarke was a daughter of the late John Brown, of Hanover County. She is survived by one son, J. N. Beckwith; of Greenville, Miss., and one daughter, Mrs. J. Payne Carroll, of this city; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Newton Beckwith, of this city; Mrs. E. C. Steger and Mrs. G. R.
