Mrs. Polly Stamps Whorton, 62, wife of the late Newt Whorton died at 4 a.m. this morning (Thursday) in the Elizabeth Hospital at Prairie Grove. She lived near Witter and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Funeral services will be held at the Church of Christ at Aurora tomorrow at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the Whorton Creek cemetery.
Survivors include one son, Elmer of Witter; three brothers, E. S. Stamps of Huntsville, Ewing Stamps of Yale, Bee Stamps of Kingston and one half-brother, Freeman Stamps of Kingston; two sisters, Mrs. Liza Combs of Kingston and Mrs. Maggie Whitaker of Heavner, Okla., and one half-sister, Mrs. Jennie Dorsey of Bentonville, one grandchild and three great grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements will be under the direction of the Brashears Funeral Home of Huntsville.
