Married 11 Jul 1860 in Carroll County, Georgia to George W Parker. George was the son of William Parker and Eunice Nelson of Taliaferro County, Georgia. G W Parker's sister Catherine married Mary Hart's older brother Joseph Lemuel Hart.

George served with Co B of the 18th Infantry Regiment of the CSA. He was killed on 8 Jun 1863 at Chancellorsville in Virginia during the Civil War.

George and Mary had two children, Atlanta and George William "Willie" Parker. Burial place of Mary's husband is not known.
