Abbie Frances Coffman Henderson Baker was born to Lish Coffman and Mattie Hice Coffman and her date of birth January 1886 is verified by the 1900 Census for Arkansas, Pope County,Griffin Twp. She married Marion Henderson son of Benjamin and Mariah Henderson,on June 28, 1903 in Pope County. She and Marian had the following chidren Marian Henderson and Jeff Henderson. Marian passed away around 1908 or so and Abbie later married G.W. Baker (George Washington)Baker on November 12, 1912. She had the following children by George Washington Baker Luther Edar Baker, William H Baker and Elmer Herman Baker. Abbie died in Prairie County, Des Arc Arkansas, of a Strangulated Hernia while being operated on in the Hospital and with shock from Anesthesia. She died on September 17, 1924 and was buried the next day in what was formerly the Erwin Cemetery in Des Arc and later renamed the Sand Hill Cemetery, Des Arc, Arkansas. The funeral was handled by Caskey Funeral in Des Arc which is now Garth Funeral Home.
