Kevin Dean Fry, 42, died Dec. 4, 1999, at his Klamath Falls home of complications from diabetes and cancer.

He was born in Portland to John and Kathleen (McKay) Fry.

He was educated in the Henley area, graduating from Henley High School in 1976. While in high school, he played football and was on the wrestling team, lettering in both sports.

He worked part time at Sturdi Craft Inc. during his senior year of high school, then for a couple of years after leaving high school.

He then worked at Thomas Lumber Co. as a lumber handler for several years.

In 1984, Mr. Fry moved to Anchorage, Alaska, where he was associated with Carrs Super Market.

He later was associated with the Blind Commission in Portland for three years, having been lgeally blind since 1983.

He moved back to Klamath Falls in 1990 and worked for REACH Inc. until being diagnosed as having cancer last July.

Mr. Fry was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He was an avid fisherman and loved Alaska and the fishing opportunities there. One of the highlights of his fishing career was catching a 50-pound king salmon on the Kenai River in Alaska three years ago. He also enjoyed hunting.

Survivors include his parents, John and Kathleen Fry of Klamath Falls; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, including a special aunt and uncle Thelma and Rollin Browning of Tillamook.
