Mrs. Laura Jeanette Allison 73, widow of the late Willis E. Allison, died Monday night at the St. Joseph hospital, Fort Wayne, where she was admitted last Saturday after a fall in the home of her daughter, Mrs. James Goins where she resided. This was the second time within a month that death had struck at the elderly family, since her husband died only last month on Sept. 19. Mrs. Allison's death occurred at 6:10 p.m. from a cerebral hemoohage. She had been in failing health for the past several years.
Mrs. Allison was born in Wabash County, June 9, 1867 and spent the greater part of her life here. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Arthur Hawkins, Sims, Ind., Mrs. F. J. Schmidt of Gary, Mrs. James Goins, Fort Wayne, Mrs. H.P. Arnett, South Bend and a son O.Z. Allison of Indianapolis. There are also several grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Mrs. Allison was a faithful member of the First Evangelical church.
The body was brought to the Wire funeral home at 196 East Main street where friends may call. Funeral service will be held at 2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon from the funeral home. Rev. Elmer Smith of the First Methodist church will officiate. Burial will be in Falls cemetery.
