Cottage Grove Farmer Dies
Alfred Thomas Beidler, a resident of Cottage Grove for 75 years, died Saturday, Aug. 1 at the age of 80 years.
He was born March 6, 1873 in Kansas and had been a farmer prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Christian Church, the IOOF Lodge No. 68 and was twice a past noble grand.
He is survived by three brothers: Ira and Charlie of Cottage Grove, and Fred of Eugene and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were to be held Tuesday, Aug. 4 at 1 p.m., Sherwood Smith officiating. He is to be buried in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Oakland, Ore., Mills Mortuary in charge of arrangements. Services will include the ritual of the Odd Fellows Lodge.
