He was a National Serviceman in the Fifties Call-up and 172377 Staff Sergeant Peter James Gollagher, 1st Field Squadron RAE Age 32 from Brisbane QLD. On his first operation in the Long Hai Hills on a search and destroy mission, Gollagher was shot while clearing a tunnel on 5th April 1968.
