... Death Of Frank Switzer Tuesday. He had been a resident of Wheeling since Childhood. Was 59 years old.
The death of Frank Switzer, for about twenty years the caretaker at the Wheeling school, died at this home in Wheeling this morning at 10:45 o'clock. The body is at the Smiley Funeral Home in Wheeling.
Mr. Switzer, 59 years of age July 31, became seriously ill about 5 o'clock this morning although he complained of a headache Monday evening. His death was due to a brain hemorrhage.
Mr. Switzer, well known among adults and children and Wheeling where he had served as caretaker at the school ever since it was built, had lived in Wheeling since he was a young boy.
He is surved by his widow, two daughters, Mrs. Bessie Albertson and Mrs. Edith Shafer of Kansas City, who are to arrive this afternoon for the funeral; a son, Cecil Switzer of Wheeling, and two grandchildren, Gerald and Dorothy Switzer of Wheeling.
These sisters and brothers also survive: Mrs. Emma Chapman of Eugene, Oregon, Mrs. Rosa Freeman, Rockford, Ill, George Switzer of Fairfield, Ia, Arthur Switzer of Macon and Luther Switzer of Rockford, Ill.
He was a member of the Wheeling Christian Church and the Modern Woodman.
