DAVIS
Ruth Ivetta Dachenbach Davis, the daughter of Orie and Adda Miller Dachenbach, was born November 19, 1905 at Chariton and passed away at the St. Mary's Medical Center in Hobart, Ind., on May 22, 1987 at the age of 81 years.
She was a retired employee of the Hoosier Grill of the Gary Hotel. She was a member of the East Lake Baptist Church. She was also a retired member of the Senior Citizen's Program and a past member of the Women of the Moose #1507.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her son Edgar and his wife Beatrice of Portage, Ind., three daughters: Marie Davis of Peoria, Ill.; Lucille and husband Vernon Shuler of Denver, Colo.; Helen and husband Stan Zelasko of Constantine, Mich.; along with six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are two sisters: Lola and husband Joseph Mantich of Omaha, Nebr. and Illa Gardiner of Waukee, Ia. and two brothers Warren and wife Maisel Dachenbach and Lowell and wife Mary Dachenbach, all of Chariton and many nephews and nieces.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 26, 1987 at 11 a.m. at the Mosher Funeral Home in Chariton. The service was conducted by Rev. Ron Stein. Pallbearers were Richard Kunch, Paul Miller, Ray Mason, Daniel Myers, Richard Miller and Glen Abrahamson. Burial was in the Zion Cemetery.
