Jennie Rae Hamblin, 81, of Sullivan, passed away at 8:06PM Sunday May 17, 2009 at Sullivan Co. Community Hospital. She was born in Riverton, Indiana February 11, 1928, the daughter of Harland "Hutch" Taylor and Ruth Nelson Taylor. She retired from Crane, was a member of the Emmanuel Evangelical Methodist Church in Sullivan, Sullivan American Legion Auxiliary Post 139, and the Sullivan VFW Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Wayne Taylor, Bill Taylor, Luther Taylor, and Earl Taylor, one sister Mary Tietz, one grandchild Jeffrey, and one great grandchild, Jordon. Survivors include her husband Garold Hamblin of Sullivan, two daughters, Shirley Ruth Gambill (Rodger) of Shelburn and Rose Ann Snapp ( Perry)of Sullivan, four sisters, Barbara Pinkston of Indianapolis, Norma Leverett of Indianapolis, Caroline Banther of Sullivan, and Harriett Keene of Sullivan, 6 grandchildren, Lisa, Rodger Dale Jr., Angie, Janalyn, Leah, and J.P., 13 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 1:00PM Thursday May 21, 2009 at Banks and Brust Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Bailey officiating. Burial in the Center Ridge Cemetery.
