DEATH OF AGED MAN
Geo. W. Boulware and old and highly respected citizen of this community died at the home of his daughters in Hammon December 27, at the age of 79 years.
Geo. W. Boulware was bone(sic) November 28, 1837, in the state of Kentucky. Moved with his parents to Jackson Co. Mo., when he was nine years old. After the close of the civil war he moved to Fannin Co. Texas where he was married to Miss Martha E. Stanford in 1867. They moved from Texas to the eastern part of the state and to Custer county about 18 years ago. His wife died February 16, 1908. After the death of his wife, Mr. Boulware made his home with his children.
He was taken sick about h_teen(sic) months ago, and gradually grew weaker until his death, December 22, 1916.
To this union was born 14 children, seven boys and seven girls, all of whom are living except one son who died in infancy. The sons, are George, of Cleburn(sic) Texas, Joe, Mart, Charles, William and John, of Hammon. The daughters are Mrs. Mary Grosclose, of Breckenridge, Tex, Mrs. Lula Stanford of Farmersville Texas, Mrs. J. A. Pool, of Indiahoma Okla., Mrs. Wm. Box, and Mrs. J. M. Linville, of Hammon, Mrs. John Dick, of Leedey and Mrs. J. W. Stanford of Clinton.
Funeral services at the M. R. Church in Hammon of which he was a member, conducted by Rev. T. C. DePew after which the body was laid to rest in the Red Hill Cemetery beside his wife.
