* TINA ELLIS OBITUARY *

Tina Marie Ellis was born March 14, 1972. She passed away peacefully with family and friends by her side May 2, 2009, due to a lifelong illness.

She is survived by her mother, Connie M. Smith of Kelso; her sister and brother-in-law, Shawn D. and Neal Spear of Longview; her nieces, Tiffani L. Ellis and Bryanna M. Spear, both of Longview; and many aunts and uncles.

Tina graduated from Kelso High School in 1990. She worked at the Adult Developmental Center until her health declined. Tina touched the lives of many people. Everywhere she went, she lit up the room with her bright smile. If you were one of the lucky people to have known her, it's guaranteed she remembered you until the end.

In her early years she was very active in bowling, attending Monte Carl at the old Hilander almost every Saturday night. Tina also enjoyed going to Bingo with her mom and sister. Her mom took her on casino trips and she loved to play blackjack - funny enough, she always came home with money. One of her favorite pastimes was playing the grab machines filled with stuffed animals. Tina had a massive collection of stuffed animals, which brought her much comfort and joy.

There were special people in her life she would have loved to say goodbye to, including John Lavine, Karen Harvey, Brian Kerr and the CAP van drivers. Surely there are many others. The family thanks the staff at Woodland Care Center for making her days there peaceful and memorable.

A private family service will be held.

Arrangements are by Steele Chapel at Longview Memorial Park & Crematory.
