Barbara Anna CUTCHALL, a well known and highly respected resident of Taylor Township, Fulton County, passed away Tuesday morning, August 14, 1945, at 8:45 o'clock. She was born near West Dublin Post Office, Taylor Township on June 16, 1859, the daughter of Alexander Readdy EDWARDS and Margaret Jane (Witter) EDWARDS. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was left fatherless at the age of ten and it became necessary for her to seek employment. For a number of years she made her home among outstanding families. Her kind, quiet disposition and sensible and counseling attitude towards her family and neighbors endeared her to all who came in contact with her. Early in life she joined the old Green Hill Church and was a devout church member through the days of her last illness. For many, many years she was a member of Mt. Tabor United Brethren Church but of recent date she had attended the Fairview Methodist Church. On April 16, 1879, she was united in marriage to James Wilson CUTCHALL who preceded her in death on February 4, 1929. Mr. and Mrs. CUTCHALL established their home near Bethlehem United Brethren Church at Dutch Corner. Later they moved to Clear Ridge and then to the WITTER homestead in Taylor Township where they had since made their home. Surviving are the following children: Charles N. CUTCHALL, Jamie M. CUTCHALL of Three Springs R.D.; Elmer L. CUTCHALL, Chambersburg; Alice C. HARPER, Neelyton; Jesse C. TRITLE, Taylor Township [at home] and Berlyn E. CUTCHALL, Laidig. One daughter, Margaret L. BARNETT, preceded her in death. Thirteen grandchildren survive as do 23 great-grandchildren. Four grandchildren are deceased. The large number of friends and relatives who called at the home, sent flowers and attended the funeral service gave testimony of the high esteem in which Mrs. CUTCHALL was held. The funeral service was conducted at her home on Friday afternoon at three o'clock. Interment was made in Fairview Methodist Cemetery by J. Wilmer Sipes funeral director. The Rev. Grantas E. Hooper of the Methodist Church in Hustontown officiated.
