Vester L. Williams
Vester L. WILLIAMS, 69, Rt. 5, Rochester, died at 12:50 a.m. today at Woodlawn Hospital where he had been a patient one day. He had been in failing health for a number of years.
He was born Aug. 7, 1914, in Walker County, Ala., to Nathan Louis and Maudie Dozier, WILLIAMS. He had lived in Rochester in the 1960's and in Arkansas for time he moved back to Rochester Indiana in the early 80's we he late died in 1985. He was married Sept. 21, 1934, in Jasper, Ala., to Della BARRETT, who survives him.
He was a former employee of Rochester Metal Products.
Survivors also include three daughters, Mrs. Walter (Rosie) BELL, Mrs. Vaughn (Nellie) BAUGH and Mrs. Geraldine WILLYERD, all of Rochester; six sons, Herman and Boyd [WILLIAMS], both of Rochester; LeRoy, Floyd and Jerry [WILLIAMS], all of Little Rock, Ark., and Larry [WILLIAMS], Waldron, Ark.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters, Maudine SMITH, Pontiac, Mich., Loren JACKSON, Carbon Hill, Ala., and Florence HARRISON, Jasper, Ala.; one brother, Edford [WILLIAMS], Carbon Hill, Ala.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Foster & Good Funeral Home, Rochester, with Rev. George BUCK officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m.until services Wednesday.
