He married Thelma Pringle on November 14, 1942 in Port Huron. She died November 17, 1994.
Mr. Loxton was a welder and retired from the St. Clair County Road Commission.
He was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church and enjoyed building musical instruments, including the mountain dulcimer.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a "jack of all trades".
He is survived by a son, John "Tom" (Darlene) Loxton; a daughter, Marcia Worley; a son-in-law, Jerry Brewer all of Smiths Creek; 11 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; two brothers, Clifford "Bud" (Virginia) Loxton of Port Huron and Lawrence "Skip" (Arlene) Loxton of Beaverton; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Joann and Nancy Brewer.
Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Tuesday in the Marysville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 in Pilgrim Lutheran Church. The Reverend John W. Hiltzeroth will officiate.
Burial will be in Caswell Cemetery, Kimball Township.
Memorials may be made to Pilgrim Lutheran Church or Marwood Nursing & Rehab.
