Donald Ray Brants, 33, of 108 E. 16th St, died at 6:55 a.m. today at St. Mary's Hospital after an illness of four months. he was an employe of Valley Steel and had lived here for a year. He was born at New Bedford, the son of Raymond and Myrtle Paith Brants. He married Darlene L. Nicholason here in 1969. Survivors are his parents of Hooppole; his widow, Darlene; three sons by a previous marriage; two step daughters, Barbara and Pansy Nicholson at home; a brother, Richard, with the army at Ft. Campbell, KY,; two sisters, Mrs. Linda Jagars of Annawan and Mrs. Marilyn Zigler of Tampico; and a grandmother, Mrs. Emma Brants of Hooppole. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. sunday in the Garnier and Sons Funeral Home, Rev. Louis Bean officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
